Die hübsche Wohnung liegt sehr zentral in einer Fußgängerzone in Plaka, so dass man alles gut zu Fuß erreichen kann. In der Straße sind zahlreiche Geschäfte für Touristen, deshalb ist die Wohnung relativ laut. Bei geschlossenen Fenster geht der Geräuschpegel aber. Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet, so dass man gut kochen konnte. Die Betten waren komfortabel, nur das Beistellbett war nicht ganz so bequem. Das Badezimmer ist recht klein und düster, aber sauber und hat ein Fenster. Die Kommunikation mit JJ war überwiegend sehr schnell und gut. Das WLAN ist sehr stabil. Alles in allem eine gute Wohnung in Topp-Lage!

Hadrian's Den is an ideal place to stay in Athens: the location is perfectly central, allowing you to reach all of the major sites and monuments in 10 minutes or less. The street is very touristy, but it's a friendly and even charming kind of touristy - the shop owners and their friends are all very nice and helpful. The street can be a little loud at night (conversations), so bring earplugs, but it's very calm during the day. The house is charming and tastefully decorated, with a huge kitchen and nice furnishings. There is abundant hot water (rare in Greece!) thanks to the gas-powered heater. For the price, there is no better accommodation in Athens! The only small disappointment was the left luggage arrangement. I had wanted to use the "free" 2 hours of service, but changed my mind at the last moment and cancelled my reservation. They charged me 5 euros per bag... Read the terms carefully!

Positive: El alojamiento es increíble. Pasamos un poco de frío la primera noche porque no supimos ocupar la calefacción, pero luego todo se soluciono. La vivienda es igual a las fotos, muy cómoda y su ubicación no pudo ser mejor. Caminamos a todos lados. Es muy seguro y silencioso y sin duda volvería a quedarme aquí. El baño estaba muy limpio y la ducha fue genial. El recoger de las llaves fue muy cómodo y sensillo, y pudimos comunicarnos con el dueño sin problemas. Negative: Todo excelente.

Bel weekend nel centro storico di Atene
Positive: Posizione fantastica in pieno centro di Atene, quartiere Plaka. Ritiro delle chiavi facile attraverso istruzioni dell'owner. Internet buono, spazio ampio, cucina molto grande. C'è tutto quello che serve per un weekend ad Atene. Negative: Per me non è stato assolutamente un problema, ma da notare che l'appartamento si trova al primo piano senza ascensore. Palazzo storico per cui alla sera si sente un po' l'eco delle voci provenire da fuori (per quanto riguarda la camera posizionata sulla via principale). Per la camera posta sul retro si sente alla sera il rumore provenire dai condizionatori (non quelli dell'appartamento, ma altri). Noi abbiamo risolto con i tappi per le orecchie che portiamo sempre con noi.

As everyone else has said, the location is perfect. We took a magical walk around the Acropolis on our first night. The next two days we walked to all the sites we wanted to tour on our combo pass. When we had any questions or needs, Jj was quick to respond. Would definitely stay there again.

Hadrian's den was the perfect home base for our Athens exploration. The beds are super comfortable, the kitchen and bathroom are spacious, and the living room is perfect for relaxing after a long day of walking around the Plaka, Acropolis, and Agora nearby. Tons of great restaurants and ice cream just below and down the street meant we didn't have to go far for sustenance. We would highly recommend staying at Hadrian's Den to anyone looking for a great, centrally-located and spacious apartment in the heart of it all.

This apartment is in the best possible location in Athens. From here we could walk in a loop around the Acropolis, taking in all the sites and landing back home again. We had a few small issues when we arrived but the JJ team responded very quickly and all were addressed so made us feel confident that we were being looked after. Excellent value for money and with the exceptional location, fully recommend.

It was amazing! The apartment was exactly as described and the location is amazing. Literally right on top of the fun shops and so close to it all. We had a fabulous time. We didn’t use the kitchen bc we just ate out but it’s huge if you need to. Loved our stay. Thank you!

Highly recommended for a stay in Athens. Jj’s place is right in the heart of Plaka, and in easy walking distance from all the key sites. The street is pedestrianised and right in the centre of shops, restaurants and the general hubbub of this beautiful city. Lovely apartment with air conditioning. The best aspect was the communication from the host right from the beginning. Jj arranged a taxi transfer from the airport for us which was waiting for us when we landed and another to take us to Piraeus three days later - all great quality service. All communication gave us peace of mind that our stay would be great. Expect noise from the street because of the central location, but with earplugs and remembering to put the shutters down we still slept well.

Our stay here was amazing! The apartment is extremely clean, spacious and very comfortable. It had everything we needed for a family of 4. A lovely view from the front windows overlooks the shops down below. The location is absolutely perfect - you really are in the heart of plaka! The host is very friendly and responds to queries almost immediately. We will stay again when we visit Athens next time. Highly recommend!

Great location to the acropolis and the plaka area with many good restaurants nearby. Very clear check in instructions. Apartment was clean and well air conditioned. One thing to note is that because of the very old plumbing all paper needs to go in the bathroom bin and you need to dispose of the garbage yourself on checkout. However this seems to be common as we also experienced the same in a restaurant.

Fantastic location, five minute walk from the big tourist spots. Right in the middle of a lovely street with amazing amounts of shopping, restaurants, and entertainment incredibly close nearby. Street noise in the secondary bedroom is an expected trade-off for being right in the middle of everything. Air-conditioning worked well in the hot summer day. Recommend the property.

Accommodation old but comfortable in traditional Greek style. Blinds were excellent for a good sleep. Lots of hot water and cutlery for breakfast. Negative: There could be noise from the street/ parties. Not a major issue for us but could affect a lighter sleeper.

Hadrians Den was perfect for us, so central and in a beautiful street in Plaka, with all we needed nearby. We were two couples and were surprised how spacious the apartment was, with the two bedrooms both plenty large and equally nice. It was tastefully decorated and clean. Communication was easy and v friendly and helpful. Can definitely recommend and would come here again.

We, a family of 5, loved our stay in in Jj’s beautiful apartment! Really spacious and nicely decorated. Located in the middle of Plaka, close to cultural places like Akropolis and the Roman Agora as well as numerous nice restaurants and bars. The apartment was equipped with everything you need for a pleasant stay, I highly recommend it!

We loved this cut little 2 bedroom, located in the center of the placa, directly below the acropolis. Great central location, safe, comfy…large kitchen, amazing doors, high ceilings, hot water worked great and they even had a spout for filtered water (saving us at least 20$ on water during our stay). Due to jet lag I went on a 3am walk and it was lit up & safe all around. We loved and highly recommend.

We enjoyed our stay in this place a lot. It was super clean and very close to Acropolis, Syntigma Square and metro stops. The neighborhood seemed quite safe and quiet. John was very helpful. He answered our questions in a very short time. He was so kind to leave us some food for breakfast. He even made reservations for us when we couldnt communicate in English. We were quite happy with the place.
