A perfect getaway in the side streets right under the Acropolis. Everything was to hand and on the door step yet the property provided an element of tranquility that gave you the impression that you were far away from the busy crowds - perfect. John was hugely responsive and always on hand to assist if needs be and could not have made our stay any more comfortable. Hugely recommended and our sincerest thanks!

Plaka is definitely where you want to be, super central walking distance to everywhere you could need to go, literally on the slopes of the Acropolis, and this apartment is perfect, on a very quiet clean walking side street not 10m from the bustling walking streets you'll love in Athens. It is spacious, one feels at home immediately, immersed n the local community yet completely private, bright and airy, beautifully and comfortably furnished, excellent heating, very modern bathroom and kitchen, authentic lounge large enough for single bed, plus sleeper couch and super leather seating couch, plus lovely master bedroom, both lead onto the cool balcony, and there's a separate dining room off the very well equipped kitchen but with 100s of Greek tavernas less than 100m away, your challenge is actually simply which one to choose. Acquaint yourself with the map because you will be amazed at how very well located you are, more than you think, given the circularity of the Acropolis! Enjoy!

Η τοποθεσία ήταν εξαιρετική σε ήσυχο δρόμο κοντά σε εστιατόρια και καφέ, στην περιοχή της πλάκας με όμορφα σπίτια. Ο σταθμος του μετρό πολύ κοντά. Το σπίτι ήταν καθαρό και όμορφα διακοσμημένο.

The apartment is located in a nice area, very close to attractions and sites. Quiet pedestrians street. We stayed five days and enjoyed our time. Until we left we couldn’t figure out the electricity switches, but it is not a big problem. Contact with owners was good and quick and they provided assistance and information.

This was a gem of a find and our first time in Athens. This apartment is located, on a quiet cobblestone street, literally 20 feet from the south Plaka pedestrian walkway. We arrived in the evening from the US so wanted to grab dinner nearby. Jj recommended a great place only a 5 min walk away. Delicious! We were also able to arrange pickup from the airport through Jjs and that went smoothly, for the most part. The taxi driver couldn't drop us off at the door because there was no car access. However, she dropped us off nearby and we were able to use our phone to map the location. We were also given detailed instructions to access the key to get into the building and the apartment. It's a short, single flight of stairs which was good as I have bad knees. The apartment is clean, kitchen has a coffee & hot water maker. The bathroom has a really nice shower and the mattress was very comfortable. There is a small balcony but no view of the Acropolis. Worth the stay!

Great location in Plaka! less than a minute walk to the main pedestrian road, with al major historic sites within a 15 minute walk at most. Entry door handle was loose but still provided security given the large deadbolt + additional lock. Bedroom door handle + hardware was completely off as well. Wifi was spotty in the bedroom too. Apart from that, it was a great stay. Hosts are very communicative and responsive as well.

Está súper céntrico, cerca de todo lo más importante. El apartamento es muy cómodo, bonito y completo, quizá eché en falta un microondas. Fue una gran sorpresa el botiquín (nos vino genial una tirita y un paracetamol) al igual que el café (llegamos a media noche y nos tomamos uno, gracias!) . Aunque céntrico muy tranquilo, lo recomendaría sin dudarlo. Tenía detalles como el azucar, sal, aceite, jabones..cosas que se agradecen, lavé algunas prendas y no había pinzas para tender la ropa asique compré un paquete y las dejé allí, así podrá usarlas el siguiente huésped. Pues lo dicho, cocina bastante completa (alguna cazuela o sartén un poco más grande mejoraría el menaje), el baño amplio y perfecto, camas cómodas,...hemos estado como en casa! como para volver. Gracias por los detalles!

Unterkunft ist genau wie beschrieben und unsere Erwartung voll erfüllt
Positive: Die Lage war perfekt in der Nähe der Metro, der wichtigsten Sehenswürdigkeiten, Restaurants, Bars. Die Ausstattung der Wohnung war bis auf die Küchenutensilien (s.u.) sehr gut. Recht neuwertige und moderne Einrichtung mit ausreichend geräumigem Badezimmer. Ansonsten waren mehr Ausstattungsgegenstände vorhanden als ich erwartet hätte. ( Bspw.: Spülmittel und Spülutensilien). Das 160cm breite Bett war sehr gemütlich jedoch für sehr große Menschen ( die wir zum Glück nicht sind) eher ungeeignet. Die Bettlänge dürfte 180cm betragen. Die Klimaanlage ( bei durchgehend 38 Grad Außentemperatur) war sehr gut und leise. Die Kommunikation mit den Eigentümern/ oder Verwaltern war per E-Mail ( in Englisch) super schnell und freundlich und eine kleine Ungereimtheit konnte sofort aus dem Weg geräumt werden. Es wurden im Vorfeld und nach Ankunft enorm viele Informationen per E-Mails bereit gestellt. (Informationen zur Ankunft, der Umgebung und Möglichkeiten.) Auch wurde nach Ankunft direkt nochmal gefragt ob wir alles gefunden haben und ob wir gut angekommen sind. Betreuung der Gäste würde ich somit als hervorragend bezeichnen. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis sehr gut. Negative: Minimale Kleinigkeiten: Für Klimaanlagen ungeübte Menschen wäre es schön gewesen eine kleine Kurzanleitung zu finden. Vielleicht waren wir aber auch nur blind und es wäre eine verfügbar gewesen. Dank Internet ( W- Lan sehr gut) konnten wir uns aber behelfen. Mit etwas Improvisationstalent genügt die Küchenausstattung um sich ein kleines Vesper zuzubereiten. Es sind zwar Teller, Tassen, Gläser, Töpfe vorhanden aber weder ein Schneidebrett noch ein Schneidemesser. Mit dem vorhandenen Brotmesser wurden dann eben ein paar Tomaten auf einem Teller geschnitten :-)

Great apartment right in the heart of Plaka! The balcony overlooking a pedestrian street was a nice place to read with a glass of wine. Super walkable to all the great restaurants in Plaka as well as to the Acropolis, Hadrian’s arch, Hadrian’s library, and more. They even coordinated an airport taxi for us to pick us up at 330AM.

Functional and adequate, but there's nothing "luxury" about it.
Positive: Great location in the historic district, quiet street, relatively clean. Close to historic sites, shopping and restaurants. Negative: It has "luxury" in the title, but it's very much a "budget" experience. Honestly, given I booked for a week+, I would typically expect more. Nothing abjectly bad, but lot's of corner-cutting. Very mid-level flat, awkward floor plan, inconvenient layout, inexpensive and uncomfortable furniture and accessories. The kitchen table is large enough for 4-5 people, but the kitchen itself is almost too small to use. There is a clothes washer, but no detergent. You're supplied with enough toilet paper and trash bags for about 2 days...certainly not enough for the week I stayed. Enough coffee for maybe 2 days at most. Lots of corner-cutting in most every area. If you're planning on visiting the sites and just sleeping in the apartment at night, it's probably fine. But for hanging out or working for any period of time in the space is not an overly pleasant experience. Very dark apartment on a narrow street; the sunlight you see in the photos don't accurately represent the flat aside from about 45 minutes in the early morning. It's functional. Average experience at best. And certainly nothing luxury about it.

Positive: Lo mejor fue la ubicación del apartamento, en el mismo barrio de placa cerca de la plaza Sintagma y con poco ruido. Tuvimos un problema para recoger las llaves, pues la caja de seguridad no se abría, pero nos atendieron rápidamente al teléfono y finalmente se pudo abrir. Las instalaciones son tal y como enseñan las fotos. La limpieza casi perfecta. La cama cómoda La relación calidad precio es difícil de valorar. Negative: Lo peor de todo son los casi 20 correos que recibió por parte del anfitrión, preguntando mis datos y ofreciendo nuevos servicios. Una vez contestado el resto sobraban. Resulto muy molesto releer una y otra vez las mismas peticiones y ofertas, nosotros fuimos a Atenas de vacaciones a hacer turismo y no a estar pendientes del correo. Prefiero ser recibido por el anfitrión, siempre es menos lioso para realizar la entrada y la salida. Las instalaciones estaban muy bien, pero las sillas para comer eran incomodas y únicamente había dos, suficiente para nosotros dos, pero en el anuncio el apartamento se ofrece para tres personas. La limpieza está bien si no miras mucho, por ejemplo, el extractor del baño estaba muy sucio.

GREAT! if you are looking a place only to stay the night in for a very good price.
Positive: VERY good location! it was in the heart of Plaka and it was so easy to get food around, shop, anything! even stopping in between stores because it was so convenient Negative: it had a weird smell kind of old.. maybe because is an old building, but you can get over it. is not like terrible.

Jj's place is very conveniently located to the tourist streets of Plaka. Despite its close proximity the street was quiet. Very close to the Acropolis and the museum, and the metro stop is less than 10 minutes away. Detailed instructions with photos showing you where the apartment is. The internet worked, but I wouldn't recommend if you planned to do some work like we did, it was a bit slow.
